Save the Date

We can finally announce our event! We can’t wait to see you there.  Mark your calendars for September 21 and 22 at Bryan Park in Greensboro NC as the Triad Highland Games hosts its 18th annual festival event.

After 1 year on hiatus, the Triad Highland Games is back.  “The entertainment line up is piled high with a vengeance only a true Scotsmen would appreciate and love” states William Leggate, THG media director.  The athletic competition will be better than ever as Bryan Park boasts lush green fields and plenty of space for viewing.  Viewers are encouraged to bring their own folding chairs and blankets to enjoy the day’s festivities.

Triad Highland Game’s President Wayne Wright is asking for donations to make sure this event continues without any more sabbatical years in the future.  “We need all local business and partners to help us promote and create stability for the time honored event.  The Triad Highland Games lives on through our members and donations we acquire from our sponsorship.  We are expecting a turn out to rival past games”, he states.

The non-profit is happy to announce that favorites like Highland Brewery will return creating the ever popular Beer Garden and will be joined by over 30 additional Celtic vendors.  Clan Row will host some of the most popular Surname favorites perfect for those interested in researching family history.

Tickets will be priced at $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 6-12.  Military will receive free admittance with proper ID.

Additional Fun Activities

Friday night ceremonies will begin with a Celtic music concert hosted by one of 2 local favorites.  There seems to be a grand secret in the air as bands are to be announced this summer.  The night will finish with the Calling of the Clans sure to ignite the pride of family and heritage.

Saturday events will kick off early in the morning and include an array of traditional athletics, Highland Dancing demonstrations, Children’s Games and Crafts, Border Collie Demonstrations, Shortbread contest, and more to be added!
